CT-6 Leg Traction Splint
This special first aid material made of carbon fibre alloy is used both as a splint and as a traction device.
CT-6 is a Leg Traction Splint specifically designed for Pre-Hospital Care and Patient transport in combat scenarios. It is primarily used in patients with midline femur fractures. The CT-6 helps relieve the patient’s pain and prevents further damage to the surrounding muscle and tissue while reducing the risk of death caused by severed arteries.
The CT-6 is made of carbon tubes that interlock with an internal bungee. A Cobra buckle secures the Ischial strap to the upper leg and groin. These buckles prevent accidental deployment and are commonly used by US military forces. Traction is achieved by a 4 to 1 pulley system that uses a small line to apply tension. This method provides a very precise form or traction that is strong enough to be effective on very large adults. The CT-6 is extremely compact, lightweight and powerful.

The CT-6 is designed for Military and Tactical use. In the Military version the Ischial strap uses a Cobra buckle compared to the CT-EMS which uses an injection moulded plastic buckle.
