For Haemostasis After Catheterisation
Used for localised management of surface bleeding from vascular access sites, percutaneous catheters or tubes.
- Easy to use with compression.
- Can be left in place for up to 24 hours.
The latest innovation in haemostatic dressings for post-catheterisation vascular haemostasis, Celox™ Vascular is made with chitosan, a natural polysaccharide that works independently of the body’s normal clotting mechanisms to coagulate blood at the vascular access site rapidly. The sterile Celox™ Vascular haemostatic dressing features highly effective Celox™ Granules bonded to the surface of the pad to facilitate placement on your patients. In laboratory tests, the patch stops bleeding significantly faster than gauze control in a 16 Fr punctured bleeding artery.
One Dressing, Many Applications
CELOX Vascular™ is indicated for the local management of surface bleeding from vascular access sites, percutaneous catheters or tubes using introducer sheaths up to 16 French.
The 2 x 2 inch (5 x 5 cm) hemostatic gauze has a flexible foam backing.
Affordable Cost
Celox™ Vascular saves time compared to the use of plain gauze and pressure in laboratory testing and is more economical than products containing thrombin or clotting factors. These make Celox™ Vascular the cost-effective method of ensuring haemostasis after catheterisation.
